The Maggini Foundation
The Foundation was established in 1990 under the name of the most famous luthier of the Brescian School: Giovanni Paolo MAGGINI (1581–1632?).
The MAGGINI FOUNDATION has many high-quality string instruments of the 17th, 18th, and 19th century at its disposal. They can all be rented out to relatively low rental fees for longer periods of time.
These instruments present new worlds of sound and possibilities for young and gifted string musicians, which can play an integral role for their artistic development.
At the moment, our collection holds some 60 celli, 120 violins and 20 violas, among them are some baroque-instruments, which can be rented out to musicians for concerts, competitions, CD/DVD-recordings, radio and TV recordings or rehearsals for orchestras.
Artists document the instruments on their CDs and DVDs. Numerous CDs have been recorded with string instruments from the MAGGINI FOUNDATION.
