Our mission is to provide talented young musicians and established artists with access to exceptional string instruments, supporting them in auditions, competitions, recordings, and the development of their professional careers.

In a world where hundreds of candidates may compete for a single orchestral position and where the quality of sound can determine success within seconds, the right instrument can make a decisive difference. At the same time, fine violins, violas, and cellos have increasingly become sought-after investment assets, placing them beyond the financial reach of many musicians.

We seek to counter this development by placing outstanding instruments in the hands of artists who can fully realise their artistic potential. Whether preparing for an international competition, an important recording project, or a crucial orchestral audition, our instruments open musical possibilities that can help shape careers.

Through our foundation, private owners, collectors, and companies from around the world make their unique instruments available to musicians at affordable rental rates. Two-thirds of the rental fee are paid to the owner, while one-third supports the foundation’s organisational and administrative activities.

Unlike many foundations that own their instruments, require formal auditions, impose age restrictions, or limit loans to one or two years, we have deliberately chosen a more flexible approach. We do not require an audition. Instead, we carefully review each application, including curriculum vitae, letters of recommendation, and previous experience with fine instruments.

Following an initial consultation, musicians are invited to try a selection of instruments based on their artistic preferences, budget, and professional plans. This allows them to take the necessary time to find the instrument that truly suits them.

Our open-ended rental arrangements provide greater security for future projects, whether orchestral auditions, international competitions, concert engagements, recordings, or long-term artistic development. We believe that musicians need time to build a genuine relationship with an instrument and to fully integrate its unique qualities into their playing.
